There are several mountains you can get to locally in an hour and a few that you can plan a fun overnight trip to. Most offer group and private lessons to both children and adults. In this post, the information is given as it relates to lessons for children only. Not interested in skiing or have a child who may not be ready to head down the mountain? No problem, most of these places offer other winter activities such as snow tubing, ice skating, indoor pools and warm fireplaces with plenty of hot cocoa.
