Kids Euro Festival returns to Washington, DC

Kids Euro Festival returns to Washington, DC, from October 26 through November 10. Now in its 12th year, this unique festival brings some of Europe’s most talented children’s entertainers to the DC metro area, offering everything from music, to workshops, movies, storytelling, puppetry, dance, and even hands-on cooking. More than 10,000 DC-area children and their families enjoy Kids Euro Festival programs each year.

On Sunday, November 3, from 2:00-5:00pm, the Embassy of Finland will host the highlight event of the 2019 Kids Euro Festival. It showcases several artists featured in this year’s festival, including a Finnish dance theater performance about the importance of clean water, a non-verbal Estonian theatrical show, and Hungarian folk telling. The highlight event will also feature episodes from the Finnish Moominvalley TV show.

All Kids Euro Festival events are completely free, as the festival’s mission is to provide equal access to the European arts for families and children of all backgrounds. This is made possible by the 28 European Union countries and the European Union Delegation in Washington in cooperation with the European-American Cultural Foundation and The Carmel Cultural Endowment for the Arts. Please note that most events require reservations.
