Cat in the Hat has a wild time at Adventure Theatre

The Cat in the Hat has made his way to Adventure Theatre and will be having tons of fun on stage through August 18, 2019.

From the moment his tall, red-and-white-striped hat appears around the door, Sally and her brother know that the cat in the hat is the funniest, most mischievous cat they have ever met. With the trickiest of tricks and craziest of ideas, he is certainly fun to play with. And he turns a rainy afternoon into an amazing adventure. But what will mom find when she gets home…?

This play is adapted from the popular childhood book by Dr. Seuss. Surprises and adventures are had, including an unexpected narrator; the one and only, Ari Shapiro from NPR’s All Things Considered! Listen to his interview discussing his role as Voice Over Narrator here. The show is unlike most others at Adventure Theatre and use puppets as the main characters and the puppeteers tag along with them the entire show allowing the audience to see the entire theatrical process. Keep a careful eye out for Thing 1 & Thing 2, when they sneak in they cause quite the scene.

Tickets can be purchased here.
