Montgomery County Fair wraps up this weekend.  Fair hours are 10am-12midnight and carnival hours are 12:00pm-12:00am and animal exhibits in Old MacDonald’s Barn are open each day beginning at 3 pm. Children 11 and under are FREE while adults cost $10. Check the schedule for daily events. Address is 16 Chestnut Street, Gaithersburg, MD 20877.

10:00am-6:00pm: Indian Palette for Families

10:30am-5:00pm: Chickasaw Festival at The National Museum of fhe American Indian
(Fourth St and Independence Ave SW)
The Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma celebrates its tribal heritage and history with two days (Friday & Saturday) of free fun, food,  hands-on-activities, performances and cultural activities. Come join this celebration and get to know the Chickasaw people!

10:30am (Doors open at 10:00am): Brady Rymer at Jammin Java
(227 Maple Ave E Vienna, VA. 22180)
2009 Children’s GRAMMY nominee Brady Rymer toured and recorded with RCA roots-rock band From Good Homes for thirteen years, sharing the stage with the likes of Bob Dylan, Dave Matthews and the Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir, before parenthood expanded the scope of his music to include young and old alike. Since then, he’s forged a career with Brady Rymer and the Little Band That Could – they “might just be the best-sounding band in children’s music,” according to NPR’s All Things Considered – releasing six acclaimed albums and bringing energetic, rockin’ live music to kids and families across the country. 4 ticketsfor $30.

11:00am: Denard Span at Tysons Corner Center

Outfielder for the Washington Nationals will be signing autographs, giving a throwing lesson and having a meet and greet on the new Plaza. This event is free and open to the public. Why not make an entire day at Tysons, Shake Shack is now open and Movies on the Green will feature Jaws beginning at 8:00pm.

11:00am-11;30am: Meet the Animals at Brookside Nature Center
(1400 Glenallen Ave. Wheaton, Maryland 20902)
Are snakes slimy? Do all frogs croak? Meet the Nature Center’s resident creatures & find out! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please register and pay for all attendees. Free.

6:35pm: Bowie Baysox Baseball, Glow in the Park and Fireworks

Fireworks: After the game, the Baysox light up the skies with a fireworks extravaganza.
Glow in the Park: with free glow stick giveaway. You’ll be a part of a spectacular post-game fireworks glow show!

Sunday-

Slow Sunday…a few places you may want to check out. Ride a camel, pet an alpaca and feed the goats at The Leesburg Animal Park. Rent a paddle boat, go fishing or hop on a pontoon ride on Lake Needwood. Take a fun ride on the hop on and off bus that tours around DC, your Bambino(s) will love the double decker Big Bus.

12:00pm: Getting to Know Degas and Cassatt at The National Gallery of Art
(6th and Constitution Ave NW, West Building Lecture Hall)
Join us for two animated films about Edgar Degas and Mary Cassatt based on Mike Venezia’s Getting to Know the World’s Greatest Artists books. Learn about the life and work of these two artists who were friends and collaborators in later 19th–century Paris.

1:35pm: Washington Nationals host Giants

Kids Run the Bases: Kids ages 4 – 12 are invited to run the bases on the field immediately following the game, field conditions permitting.
